The Morning of...

Tony woke up like normal to get ready for work.. it was 6:30 a.m. he went down stairs and put coffee on. then came back upstairs to wake Kenzie and I before he would soon leave for work.. He went to wake her up and realized she wasn't responding He then, began to wake me up saying "Crystal, get up somethings wrong with Mackenzie" . I sat straight up and went to pick her up.. she was laying on her side.. when i did I saw blood coming from her nose.. I immediatley began to yell we got to go to Greene { which is the hospital in our home town} . My husband and I jumped in the car{ me still in shorts and a tee shirt with no shoes}. We made it to the hospital in 53 seconds.. We rushed her in which a nurse took her and Rushed her back with the doctors. They had us wait in  the family room which seemed to feel like a lifetime. A nurse came into the room around 45 minutes later and told us that the doctor wanted to speak with us..  I will never forget what happened next.. She walked us through the er and into room 12 which there was Mackenzie and about 10 hospital staff.. The doctor imformed my husband and I that she had passed and there was nothing they could do to help her.. He then insisted that We give them permission to stop working on her which I could not do.. We finally gave them the ok and .. they pronounced her at 7:42 a.m. Sunday April 18. We then called a preacher and the family.. I cant remember much after this.. other than bits and pieces.. I shared my story to help others.. there are a rapid numbers of sids babies in the United States.. and if my story can help heel the hearts of hurting parents to let them know that they are not alone then that helps me..

At this time Kenzie does not have a tombstone.. We are taking donations to help raise money for this .. We greatly appreciate any and all the help and support we recieve from friends and family. But mostly,  people like you reading this page Thank you and God Bless
